Pension/Retirement Committee

The Pension Committee serves as FSO’s experts on the defined benefit plan. Committee members educate and advise plan participants, and field questions from members of FSO (and other staff unions). Two members of the Committee hold a formal fiduciary role and meet on a quarterly basis with the full MTA Pension Committee, which consists of seven Governance appointees, two management appointees, and five staff union appointees, two of which are from FSO.  FSO Committee members work with the union-side members of the Pension Committee as often as necessary to develop a coherent, shared agenda. They also prepare an Annual Report to the FSO membership on the benefit itself and on the work of the Committee, update the FSO Board throughout the year as necessary, and make recommendations to FSO Officers, including the Bargaining Chair, related to the pension benefit.
